Thomas Lo

Co-founder & CEO

As Co-founder and CEO of Smash.bi, Thomas leads the company to work directly with the customers as a team to deliver the right data management and analytics solutions for them. Prior to Smash.bi, he also found Financialogix Group, an electronic institutional trading technology company with flagship product XStream Trading Suite used by major banks and brokerage firms for their end to end trading.

Peter Mroz

Co-founder & CFO

University of Waterloo BASc Mechanical Engineering, MASc Management Science; Wilfrid Laurier MBA

Peter has over 25 years of capital markets electronic institutional trading experience. Prior to co-founding Smash.bi, he was the Director and Vice President of eFX strategy for RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities. He’s also a born innovator — he built the second solar race car at University of Waterloo and his invaluable experience indirectly contributed to a 3rd place finish by his successors at American Solar Challenge a few years later.

Michael Salvagna

CTO

University of York BSc Computer Science

Michael is currently the CTO of Smash.bi and was previously Director and Head of E-Trading Technology for CIBC World Markets. He’s the resident tech-head for Smash.bi and is fanatic about designing deterministic and ultra efficient processing engine for distributed computing.
